TicTocTrack Watch Care Tip #1 – WiFi Hot Spots

Built into our bespoke software is our WiFi HotSpot feature. This feature is designed to allow the TicTocTrack device to recognise assigned trusted locations and will assist in reducing the drain on the battery.

This feature is suited to users that wear their device in 1-2 regular locations.

How does it work?

By setting the WiFi Hot Spot feature you can set up to 2 WiFi addresses that are trusted i.e. school or home. Than, when the watch is locating using a saved WiFi hotspot it will stop searching for a GPS location.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Once the watch goes out of range of that WiFi hotspot it will automatically start searching using both WiFi and GPS again.

To set this feature follow the below instructions:

> For the Desktop Platform – Go to Device in the top menu bar, then Device Details

> For the App – Go to Settings (3 white dots in bottom right corner), then My Devices

> If you have multiple Devices ensure you select the Device you are updating the settings for

> Select Trusted WiFi HotSpots, then

> Click on the Select button. This will bring up the most recent WiFi locations that the watch has locked onto for locations.

> Choose the one you want, then give it a name to define this location e.g School and type in the physical address for the location.

> Save the changes

Note: This feature is automatic and once set you will not be required to authorise the connection each time.
